Iran has decided not to export its stock of 300 kilograms of highly enriched uranium, but is willing to dilute its purity, offering the United States a proposal in this regard in the coming days. This proposal will be essential in negotiations with the U.S., in the context of threats of military attack from President Donald Trump. Iran possesses uranium enriched to a level of 60%, close to that required for nuclear weapons, but is open to reducing the purity to 20% or less.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi emphasized that the U.S. has not demanded the renunciation of Iran's right to enrich uranium, with discussions focusing on purity and the number of centrifuges. Although there have been suggestions to send the stock to Russia or to connect the Iranian enrichment program with an international consortium, Iranian officials have stated that nuclear materials will not leave the country. This offer will influence Trump's decision regarding a possible military action. In an interview, Araghchi stated that Washington has not requested a permanent suspension of enrichment, contradicting the position of the U.S. ambassador to the UN, who called for a "zero enrichment" policy. The Iranian president reaffirmed that the country will not yield to international pressures.
