Iran has postponed the funeral of the supreme leader Ali Khamenei, scheduled for Wednesday, due to Israeli-American attacks.

Iran has decided to postpone the national funeral of its supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, which was scheduled for Wednesday evening in Tehran. State television announced that the ceremony was postponed due to the anticipation of an unprecedented influx of participants, in the context of the massive Israeli-American attacks the country is facing.

Khamenei, who died at the age of 86 in an attack on Saturday, was to be honored in front of his earthly remains in Tehran before being buried in his hometown, Mashhad. The new date for the funeral will be communicated later.
