The President of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian, stated that the leaders of the United States, Israel, and Europe have exploited the country's economic problems to incite protests and undermine national unity. The protests, which erupted in December due to inflation and high costs, have diminished after a violent crackdown, with a death toll ranging between 3,100 and 6,563. Pezeshkian accused Western leaders, including Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu, of causing divisions in society.

In the context of rising tensions, American officials are discussing options for action against Iran, while Tehran rejects calls to limit its ballistic program. Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi stated that Iran is prepared for negotiations but also for confrontation, emphasizing that regime change is an illusion.
