Following an extensive investigation, Polish prosecutors have charged 29 individuals, including the mayor of Wrocław, Jacek Sutryk, former Members of the European Parliament, and university professors, for involvement in the sale of fake diplomas and corruption at Collegium Humanum, a private university. The investigation was initiated by the anti-corruption agency CBA in February 2024, and in March 2025, the institution's MBA programs were suspended.
Prosecutors have identified 67 charges, including corruption and fraud, related to the rapid issuance of diplomas without the completion of courses. Sutryk denies the allegations, stating that he feels wronged. The investigation also targets former officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the State Accreditation Committee, with accusations of bribery and political influence. So far, 78 individuals have been identified as suspects, and assets worth 41.6 million euros have been confiscated. The defendants face up to 10 years in prison.
