Flight IB579 from Madrid to Paris had to turn back shortly after take-off when it hit an eagle at an altitude of 2,080 meters. The impact caused panic among the 182 passengers, who had to use oxygen masks. The aircraft landed safely with no injuries, but with damage to the radom and one of the engines. Iberia praised the crew's professionalism in handling the situation. The flight was later replaced.
