The Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, led by Anita Orban, announced the recall of 37 heads of diplomatic missions, a first step in the process of renewing the leadership of diplomatic representations. This measure takes place in the context of the expiration of the mandates of some diplomats, but also to ensure a credible representation of Hungary in accordance with the new foreign policy priorities.
Orban emphasized the importance of a professional diplomatic corps, capable of actively contributing to the fulfillment of the country's external objectives. In this regard, the ministry appointed a deputy state secretary for human resources strategy and training, aimed at strengthening diplomatic capacity. The effective representation of national interests will depend on a well-prepared, motivated, and professional diplomatic corps that supports the fulfillment of Hungary's international objectives.
