Argentina is facing a serious health crisis after contaminated medical fentanyl led to the deaths of more than 100 patients. The laboratory HLB Pharma has been identified as responsible and ANMAT has suspended its production. The deaths have been reported in several provinces and the investigation is targeting 24 people, including the owner of the laboratory. Protests by the families of the victims have increased, heightening political tensions ahead of legislative elections in October.
