Harry Styles performed the song “What Is Enough” in New York, written for his former One Direction bandmate, Liam Payne, two years after his death.

Harry Styles paid tribute to Liam Payne during the concert he held on Friday at Madison Square Garden, part of his New York residency on the “Together, Together” tour. The artist performed “What Is Enough,” an as-yet unreleased song written for his former One Direction bandmate, in public for the first time.

Styles said that Payne was a friend without whom he would not have gotten where he is and urged spectators to look after one another. Liam Payne died two years ago after falling from the balcony of a hotel in Argentina. Fans described the song as moving and “beautiful.”
