The terrorist group Hamas rejected on Sunday the accusations from the U.S. State Department, which stated that the Palestinian militant group was planning an imminent attack against civilians in Gaza, which would constitute a violation of the ceasefire agreement. In a statement, the State Department emphasized that such an attack would undermine the progress made through international mediation.

It also mentioned that, in the event Hamas carried out this attack, measures would be taken to protect the population in Gaza. President Trump threatened retaliation against Hamas, emphasizing that the continuation of violence could lead to actions against the group. The statement did not detail the specific measures that could be taken.
