The new Road Code in Greece, which will come into effect on September 13, 2025, will impose strict rules for reducing accidents and promoting responsibility in traffic. Among the new measures are severe penalties for behaviors considered antisocial, such as using a mobile phone while driving or running a red light. Fines will be communicated electronically, and driving history will influence insurance costs. Additionally, Romanian authorities warn Romanian drivers to comply with these rules to avoid penalties recognized throughout the EU.
