Gold and silver continue to reach historic highs

Gold continued its explosive rise in price on Thursday, surpassing the threshold of $5,500 per ounce and marking a new record. The price of silver also advanced, exceeding $119 an ounce, after a jump of 145% in 2025 and nearly 65% just this year.

The increase has pushed the entire precious metals market up, from palladium and platinum to base metals.
