Germany is in advanced talks to buy Patriot air defense systems, which it plans to transfer to Ukraine, following a US decision to suspend deliveries of key weapons. Defense Minister Boris Pistorius will visit Washington to discuss the issue. Ukraine has warned the delay will affect its ability to defend itself against Russian air strikes. Germany, which provides the biggest support to Ukraine in Europe, is taking a leading role in the issue.
