The warnings were delivered at a parliamentary hearing, where the head of the BND, Germany's foreign intelligence service, underlined Russia's readiness to use hybrid and covert measures on a 'previously unprecedented level'. Attention was also drawn to aggressive behavior by Russian intelligence services, with a focus on espionage and sabotage. According to the spy chief, by the end of this decade, Russia would be ready for an armed conflict with NATO.
