German prosecutors are investigating 17 police officers on suspicion of receiving free food in exchange for influencing a training course evaluation.

The free dinners would have taken place over 10 months and could have cost up to €2,000, the officers would have agreed to receive free currywurst and the course instructor would have paid the bill. Prosecutors suspect that the motive behind the alleged bribery may have been linked to influencing the course evaluations.
