The French authorities have issued market withdrawals for two toys sold by Shein, after it was found that they pose a choking hazard for small children, according to Le Figaro.
The set of four telescopic tubes with suction cups, sold between April 1, 2025, and May 11, 2026, did not pass safety tests, and small parts can detach, posing choking risks. Additionally, a plush caterpillar, sold between January 1, 2025, and February 4, 2026, contains detachable parts that can be swallowed. Both products have been withdrawn from sale, and consumers are advised not to use them.
A refund process is underway, expected to be completed by the end of the year.
