The French presidency has announced the composition of the new government led by Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu, after nearly four weeks of negotiations. This is the third executive formed in a year and includes ministers who held similar positions in the previous government. Bruno Le Maire returns as Minister of the Armed Forces, while Roland Lescure becomes Minister of Economy and Finance, tasked with proposing a budget for 2026 in the context of high public debt. The Prime Minister's speech in the National Assembly is expected on Tuesday.
