Former world champion Floyd Mayweather has announced that he will come out of retirement for the fourth time, set to participate in a professional match after nearly 10 years, against an unidentified opponent.
At 48 years old, Mayweather, who last retired in 2017, will fight former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson this spring, although the date and location of the match have not yet been established. Mayweather has won titles in five weight classes, and his last match was a technical knockout in the tenth round against mixed martial artist Conor McGregor, now nine years ago, thus achieving his 50th professional victory and remaining undefeated. In a statement, Mayweather claimed that he still has the ability to set new records in boxing.
