Five gold seekers were rescued after being trapped for nearly a week in a flooded cave in Laos. Authorities continue the search for two other missing members of the group.
The group had entered a cave in Xaisomboun province for gold mining activities, but heavy rains caused flooding that blocked their exit.
Rescue teams, including specialists in cave rescue and divers, conducted searches under difficult conditions due to narrow passages and high water levels. The five individuals found were safely evacuated, and authorities continue the search for the other two members of the group, who are still missing.
