Extreme weather phenomena such as snow, heavy rain and gales are causing problems in Greece, where several regions are under a code red warning.

Authorities in Greece are bracing for possible flooding after code red warnings were issued for various regions, including Thessaly, Northern Sporades and parts of Evia. Croatia is also facing code orange warnings for rain and code red warnings for gales. Greece's minister for climate crises and civil protection has led an emergency meeting to coordinate responses to the expected effects.
