An explosion occurred on Tuesday, after midnight, near the Savyolovsky train station in Moscow, resulting in the death of a traffic police officer and injuring two others.
The Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs stated that the explosion was caused by an unidentified device detonated by an unknown person who approached the officers during their patrol. Initially, it was reported that the attacker fled the scene, but it was later confirmed that he died. Authorities have opened a criminal case for attempted murder and charges related to the explosive device.
The two injured officers were hospitalized with various injuries, and the deceased officer was identified as Lieutenant Denis Bratuschenko, aged 34. An investigation is underway to determine the circumstances of the incident.
