The incident took place at the central station of the Lithuanian capital, causing a massive explosion and a fire that complicated the firefighters' intervention. Although the LPG came from a Polish refinery, the transport was managed by an external company. Authorities are investigating the cause of the incident, without having suspicions of deliberate actions. A passenger train was redirected to avoid the affected area.
