Evidence against Russian officials involved in the atrocities in Bucha, Ukraine in 2022

General Colonel Alexander Chayko and Colonel Azatbek Omurbekov, known as 'The Butcher of Bucha', are among the Russian officers identified in an investigation that brings evidence against high-ranking soldiers involved in the atrocities committed in Ukraine between February and March 2022. Russian forces occupied Bucha for 29 days, during which executions and torture were reported. After the withdrawal of the troops, over 500 corpses were discovered, and human rights organizations consider these acts to be crimes against humanity. Russia denies the allegations.
