<p>The high-speed train operator is announcing the expansion of its network to connect Britain with Germany and Switzerland. The investment of around two billion euros will see the introduction of new trains and will cut journey times between London and Frankfurt to five hours and between London and Geneva to five hours and 20 minutes. Demand for these routes is expected to be strong, given passenger preference for rail travel over flying. Eurostar will operate the new trains alongside its existing fleet, expanding capacity.
