The European Commission has announced that the deadline for meeting the targets and milestones of the NR NRRP will not be extended, with a deadline of August 31, 2026. Actions taken after this date will not be taken into account and changes to the NRRP will no longer be possible. Romania has 453 days to complete implementation. Defence projects also become eligible for funding from EU funds, and the Commission recommends that member states urgently revise their plans to maximize the absorption of available funds.
