Senior EU diplomat Kaja Kallas has announced that the European Union is working on a 19th package of sanctions against Russia in response to its refusal to accept a ceasefire in the conflict in Ukraine. Kallas underlined the importance of reaching a full and unconditional ceasefire before discussing concessions. The latest sanctions package, adopted on July 18, was seen as one of the strongest yet, aimed at increasing economic pressure on Russia.
