Essex Police seized a Lamborghini Huracan on Saturday afternoon after receiving reports that the car was being driven dangerously in Southend. Officers suspect the vehicle was travelling at more than twice the legal speed limit, although the exact speed has not been made public.

The supercar was stopped and seized under legal provisions recently strengthened in the United Kingdom to tackle antisocial and dangerous driving. The measure allows authorities to intervene when a vehicle is used in a way that could endanger road users or cause a nuisance to the community.

The incident occurred after information was received about the car’s driving style in the Southend area. Police did not provide details about the driver’s identity or any penalties that might be imposed.

An Essex Police spokesperson said that antisocial driving can pose a danger to other road users and stated that the safety of communities remains a priority. Authorities warned that they will take action against those who endanger public safety.,
