Voters in Kosovo are participating today in early parliamentary elections, aiming to obtain a clear majority and put an end to the political crisis.

On Sunday, voters in Kosovo will head to the polls for early parliamentary elections, in the context of a political crisis that has lasted for ten months. The ruling party, Vetevendosje (VV), received 42% of the votes in the last elections but failed to form a majority. The divided parliament has struggled to elect a president and form a government, leading to the necessity of early elections.

Prime Minister Albin Kurti, considered the favorite, aims to surpass 50% of the votes, focusing on economic issues. In his campaign, he promised financial aid for pensioners and families with children. The opposition, represented by the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) and the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), accuses him of electoral corruption and criticizes the government's economic management. Over two million voters are expected to cast their votes, including those from abroad.
