Two drones entered the airspace of the Republic of Moldova, causing its temporary closure. The authorities are checking the area, without finding dangerous objects.

Last night, two drones illegally entered the airspace of the Republic of Moldova, causing the authorities to temporarily close this airspace, which was later reopened, except for the northern region. The drones crossed from the direction of Stanislavka, Odesa region, towards Vărăncău, being undetectable on radar. Ukrainian border authorities informed the Border Police of Moldova that the drones were observed crossing the border towards Velikaia Kosnița – Ruslanovca. So far, no objects have been identified that pose risks to the safety of citizens. This incident comes after, on Tuesday, six drones illegally penetrated Moldovan airspace, one of them being of Russian production and crashing onto a house. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Chișinău condemned these violations and summoned the Russian ambassador for explanations.
