A Ukrainian drone attack damaged a Russian petrochemical plant in Sterlitamak, in the Bashkortostan region, causing partial collapse of a water treatment facility, but without causing casualties.

The factory in the Bashkortostan region, located about 1,500 km from the Ukrainian border, in the Ural Mountains, operated in a non-stop regime, stated the head of the Bashkortostan region, Radi Habirov. He added that both drones involved in the nighttime attack were destroyed.

Moscow qualifies the attacks as terrorism, but Ukraine argues that they are legitimate self-defense.
