The Russian army has carried out a new attack on the energy infrastructure in the Odesa region, targeting a facility of the private company DTEK, which has reported significant damage and a prolonged duration for repairs. Work will begin as soon as the engineers receive permission from the authorities. This attack comes a few days after Russian bombings on DTEK power plants, which caused serious damage. The operator UkrEnergo has extended electricity restriction measures in certain regions due to the difficult situation in the energy system, generated by the Russian attacks.

In a separate incident, Russian officials announced that Ukrainian forces attacked the Sterlitamak petrochemical plant in Bashkortostan, causing the partial collapse of a water treatment facility, with no casualties reported. The governor of the region confirmed that the factory is still operational and that the drones involved in the attack have been neutralized. The Russian Ministry of Defense stated that, in total, 83 drones were shot down over seven regions of Russia.
