On August 3, a drone strike led to a significant fire at an oil depot in Sochi, mobilizing more than 120 firefighters to extinguish the blaze. The affected tank had a capacity of 2,000 cubic meters. The incident is part of a wider campaign by Ukraine to attack Russian energy infrastructure crucial to Moscow's war effort. Although Sochi has rarely been targeted, the Krasnodar region is home to major refineries, including the Ilsky plant. In parallel, other Ukrainian drone strikes have been reported in Russian regions.
