The sons of American President Donald Trump have obtained a 20% stake in a tungsten mining project in Kazakhstan, through the investment company Dominari Securities. The information was reported by The New York Times, which mentions that the project is being developed by Kaz Resources, in collaboration with Tau-Ken Samruk.

This investment was made before the signing of an agreement between the United States and Kazakhstan for cooperation in the exploitation of mineral resources, in November 2025. Interest in rare minerals from Kazakhstan is increasing, with authorities announcing exploration work in 25 geological perimeters.

In 2024, 38 new promising mineral deposits were identified, including tungsten. International competition for critical resources is intensifying, and the United States is seeking to diversify its supply chains through partnerships in Central Asia.
