A major power outage left the entire Dominican Republic without electricity, according to information from Rador Radio Romania. The failures were caused by the shutdown of production units in two important power plants, which led to a chain reaction in the energy transport network. So far, the exact causes of this general blackout are unknown, but the impact has been significant, affecting road and rail transport, as well as economic activity in the country. Nearly 11 million people are affected by this situation, which has raised concerns among the population.
