Firefighters intervened over 600 times to pump water out of basements and remove fallen trees. The most severe damage was reported in the town of Heidenau, where residents described the chaos created by the storm, stating that many cars were destroyed and the roofs of homes were damaged.

A local resident stated that she had never seen such a storm in the 18 years she has lived there. In northeastern Germany, the hail accumulated in such large quantities that the landscape resembled one of winter. Authorities confirmed that no injuries were reported, although they received approximately 250 emergency calls in just a few hours.
