Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Khaled bin Talal has died at the age of 36, after two decades in a coma following a car accident in 2005.

Prince Alwaleed fell into a coma at the age of 15 following a serious accident in London. He was cared for for nearly 20 years at the King Abdulaziz Medical Center in Riyadh and was known as the 'Sleeping Prince'. His father, Prince Khaled bin Talal, refused to remove life-support machines, saying that only God decides the moment of death. Funeral prayers will be held on Sunday, and the Global Council of Imams has sent its condolences to the Royal Family.
