Lars Lokke Rasmussen, the Danish foreign minister, has begun a diplomatic tour in Norway, the United Kingdom, and Sweden to address the strengthening of NATO's role in the security of the Arctic region. This visit comes against the backdrop of tensions generated by Donald Trump's threats regarding the imposition of tariffs on countries that contest the U.S. control over Greenland, a Danish autonomous territory. Rasmussen emphasized the importance of collaboration with allies to strengthen security in the Arctic, mentioning that Denmark needs friends in the context of global instability.

Additionally, Denmark has joined a joint declaration with European allies, reaffirming that the security of Greenland is a shared responsibility. This situation has generated discussions at the European level, including an emergency meeting of EU ambassadors in Brussels.
