The President of the Czech Republic, Petr Pavel, stated that his country is ready to supply Ukraine with L-159 fighter jets, capable of shooting down enemy drones, following a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Kyiv. Pavel emphasized the effectiveness of these aircraft in the fight against drones and mentioned that Prague could also provide early warning systems. The Czech Republic has 24 L-159 aircraft and has previously supplied heavy equipment to Ukraine, including tanks and helicopters.

Zelensky also emphasized that Russia is blocking peace efforts, highlighting recent attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure as evidence of Moscow's intentions.
