Bulgaria will adopt the euro on January 1, 2026, but small entrepreneurs like Nikolai Terziev fear the negative effects on the economy. Although the country has low debt and controlled inflation, recent price hikes have sparked concerns about bankruptcies. Many Bulgarians are divided on the changeover, with 50% opposed to adopting the euro due to fears about inflation and misinformation. However, some customers remain optimistic that the euro changeover will bring economic benefits.
