A Colombian jailed in the Czech Republic has been charged with arson attacks in Poland on suspicion of collaborating with Russian intelligence.

The Polish authorities have detained 32 people suspected of acts of sabotage coordinated with Russia, including a 27-year-old Colombian, already convicted in the Czech Republic. He is accused of setting two fires in Poland in 2024 with links to Russian secret services. The attacks targeted construction material warehouses and the suspect acted under the supervision of a Russian agent. If convicted, he faces up to life imprisonment.
