Amid US President Donald Trump's threats to impose additional 10% tariffs on countries that align with the BRICS, China said the group is not seeking confrontation. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning emphasized that trade wars do not produce winners and that BRICS promotes cooperation and openness. The group, which now includes other countries, aims to rebalance the world order in favor of developing countries.
