China's Defense Ministry says NATO provokes wars and uses China as pretext for Asia-Pacific expansion

In a press conference, China's Defense Ministry spokesman Zhang Xiaogang said NATO is a product of the Cold War, accusing the alliance of provoking conflicts globally. He emphasized that China's military development is defensive, citing opposition to NATO's actions in the Asia-Pacific. The Chinese Foreign Ministry also denied accusations of supplying arms to the conflict in Ukraine, responding to criticism from NATO officials.
