A Korean Air Boeing 747-8I took off from Seoul to repatriate hundreds of South Korean workers detained following an immigration raid at a battery factory in Georgia, part of a broader campaign to combat illegal immigration. The South Korean Foreign Minister emphasized the seriousness of the situation and secured a provisional agreement with U.S. authorities to prevent severe penalties against the workers. They most likely had improper visas for construction work.
