The official Syrian agency Sana confirmed that buses with SDF members left the Sheikh Maqsoud district, heading northeast. Despite claims from the Syrian army regarding the conclusion of operations in Sheikh Maqsoud, the Kurdish forces denied these statements. Recent clashes, the most violent in Aleppo since the fall of Bashar al-Assad, have resulted in the deaths of at least 21 civilians and the displacement of approximately 155,000 people. Both sides accuse each other of responsibility, and these conflicts have affected a previous agreement for the integration of Kurdish institutions into the Syrian state. The SDF emphasized that the evacuation was made possible due to international mediation to stop attacks on the population in Aleppo.
