The retailer Carrefour announces a new strategic plan for 2030, which excludes Belgium, Poland, and Argentina, focusing on the markets in France, Spain, and Brazil, where it has the greatest growth opportunities.

CEO Alexandre Bompard emphasized that the group will adopt an ambitious approach to improve profitability and will implement a "dynamic asset management" in the mentioned regions, keeping strategic options open, including partial or total sales. Additionally, Carrefour has already sold its subsidiary in Romania and Italy to local entrepreneurs. Although rumors suggest that options for Belgium are being explored, management has denied concrete plans to leave the country. The Belgian division reported a slight increase in revenue, generating approximately 4.5 billion euros from 40 hypermarkets and 440 supermarkets.
