Two-time Wimbledon champion Carlos Alcaraz had a tough first round match against veteran Fabio Fognini. The 22-year-old Spaniard managed to win after five intense sets with a final score of 7-5, 6-7 [5], 7-5, 2-6, 6-1 after a four-hour and 30-minute match. In the second round, Alcaraz will meet British qualifier Oliver Tarvet, ranked 719th in the world.
