According to a RUSI report, cars stolen in the UK are being transported out of the country at a rapid rate, with around 130,000 vehicles stolen each year. Organized crime targets both luxury cars and common models, using advanced break-in technologies. Car theft is hurting the economy, contributing to an 82% increase in insurance costs from 2021. Authorities are concerned that without systemic measures, losses could increase.
