On December 3, Bulgaria, Greece, and Romania signed a Memorandum of Understanding in Brussels for the development of a transport axis that will connect the Aegean Sea to the Black Sea. The agreement, signed by officials from each country, will allow for major investments in road, rail, and river infrastructure. The project includes the construction of three new bridges over the Danube, essential for regional connectivity, and the modernization of ferry lines. The memorandum details three main transport routes, facilitating connections between important cities in Southeast Europe. Authorities intend to use European funds and public-private partnerships to accelerate the implementation of the projects, aiming for an efficient infrastructure that meets European transport requirements.
