The operator of Liszt Ferenc International Airport has warned passengers that severe thunderstorms in Hungary could cause flight delays or cancel flights in the first days of the week. The storm caused significant damage to rail infrastructure around Lake Balaton, with winds of up to 170 km/h. Authorities have advised passengers to check the status of flights before departure and temporary airspace restrictions could be implemented.
