<p>The city of Bruges in Belgium has appealed to tourists to stop stealing cobblestones from its medieval streets, as around 50-70 stones go missing every month, affecting public safety. Local politician Franky Demon pointed out that these acts may seem harmless, but they have serious and costly consequences, with repairing the damage amounting to €200 per square meter. Demon stressed the importance of respect for the city's heritage, urging visitors to leave the beauty of Bruges intact.
