Alessandro Bastoni, the defender of Inter and the Italian national team, is under investigation after allegedly having sex with a minor, as part of an inquiry into an events company that organized 'all-inclusive' nights for VIP clients.

Prosecutors claim that Bastoni had sexual relations with a 17-year-old girl, recruited by the respective agency. In interceptions from 2020, Bastoni allegedly expressed a desire to have sexual relations after a dinner, and a representative of the agency suggested that the girl wanted to have fun with him. Although the girl was interrogated and denied having sexual relations with Bastoni, his lawyer stated that his client never paid for sex and did not have relations with minors. According to Italian law, such acts are punishable by imprisonment from one to six years. Bastoni has already been criticized by fans for his performances, including a red card that affected Italy's chances of qualifying for the World Cup.
